Skin hydration, hyperkeratosis management

Emollient lotions such as Doublebase, Cetraben, CeraVe. These can also be used to wash the legs, instead of soap/shampoo. It is important to always dry the skin properly (and gently) after washing.

Do not use the “New Advanced Formula” Diprobase. Reviews state it is causing pain and burning sensations because of the new cooling ingredients.

Hoofcare

Red Horse Products Sole Cleanse – a spray that’s great for cleaning out cracks and central sulcus
Red Horse Products Field Paste – a clay paste with antimicrobial properties, good for thrush
Red Horse Products Sole Paint – cleansing and antibacterial. I often mix it with the Field Paste for a thinner, paintable consistency that stays on for days.
